Cook's Gluten-Free Sourdough was founded in 2013 by San Diego resident Randi Cook, who discovered she could no longer consume gluten. Sourdough bread was a childhood favorite of hers, and it soon became the food she missed most after maintaining a gluten-free diet. She began making her own gluten-free version and after a period of experimentation, landed on a recipe that embodied a tender, soft crumb, with a rustic chewy crust, and the classic sourdough flavor she remembered as a child. It was so yummy, she became determined to share it with as many people living with Celiac Disease, gluten-intolerance, or who simply enjoy the goodness of sourdough, but desire it in a more health-conscious form.
